Civil Engineer – Static Inspection (Jubail)

About the role

Tasnee is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its R&I Static Inspection team in Jubail. The role focuses on managing, inspecting and maintaining existing plant civil structures and foundations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safeguarding structural integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement civil inspection procedures for concrete, steel and underground utilities.
• Lead and perform detailed inspections of foundations, steel structures, concrete works and underground utilities.
• Assess condition, deterioration rate and remaining service life of steel structures and recommend cost‑effective remediation.
• Provide repair methods for concrete structures and review structural vibration measurements against codes.
• Identify root causes of steel deterioration and deliver short‑ and long‑term corrective actions.
• Conduct construction, repair and retrofitting of tanks, reservoirs, ponds, drainage and sump pits, as well as steel beams, columns, slabs and dykes.
• Inspect and maintain sea‑water cooling towers and lead soil settlement surveys with corrective plans.
• Perform quality‑assurance testing, detailed structural assessments and recommend re‑strengthening solutions.
• Review and validate engineering design packages, drawings, specifications and contractor submittals for compliance with international standards.
• Participate in site audits and quality surveillance activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in civil and structural inspection of industrial plant facilities.
• Hands‑on experience with construction, repair and retrofitting of concrete and steel structures in live‑plant environments.
• Ability to evaluate complex technical issues and produce clear, actionable recommendations.
• Strong focus on quality assurance and adherence to codes and standards.
