Civil Engineer – Transmission Line & Substation Projects

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position is for a Civil Engineer who will lead civil works on transmission line and substation projects. You will be responsible for supervising site activities from route surveys to final handover, ensuring all work meets project specifications, local codes and HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage civil works including earthworks, foundations, piling, concrete and rebar, cable trenches, duct banks, control buildings, access roads and drainage.
• Review civil designs and shop drawings, prepare method statements and ITPs.
• Coordinate with contractors, other engineering disciplines and project teams.
• Monitor progress, conduct QA/QC tests (soil compaction, concrete sampling) and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain site documentation, as‑built records, support permitting and manage handover activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Basic knowledge of civil works for transmission lines and substations.
• Ability to read drawings, follow method statements and produce accurate site documentation.
• Familiarity with QA/QC basics and HSE principles.
• Valid Saudi driving licence and membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (experience with Civil 3D is a plus).
• Microsoft Office suite.
• Basic scheduling awareness – MS Project or Primavera (nice to have).
