Civil Inspector - IDI (Saudi Nationals Only)

About the role

SGS, a global testing, inspection and certification company, is hiring Civil Inspectors for its IDI team in Riyadh, Jazan and Khamis Mushait. The role covers building inspections under Saudi building codes and international standards, and is open only to Saudi nationals.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out site visits and inspect buildings in line with Saudi building codes and international standards
• Issue reports documenting findings and comments
• Take over the responsibilities of other inspectors for unassigned projects during emergency leave
• Assess technical problems and propose solutions
• Deliver the required report on time and handle each project professionally

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 2-3 years of experience in construction, testing and inspection in civil engineering
• Proven experience with the Saudi Code
• Experience in the IDI program
• Fluent English
• Willingness to travel across KSA as needed

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of civil and structural works: foundations, concrete, steel structures and finishing
• Knowledge of safety regulations and site safety practices
• Ability to prepare detailed technical reports and documentation
• Team-oriented working style
