Cloudera Administrator – Data Platform Management

About the role

The Cloudera Administrator will own the operation, stability, and security of our data platform built on Cloudera technologies. You will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure the environment meets performance and compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Cloudera components (CDH/CDP) and related Hadoop ecosystem tools.
• Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve issues promptly.
• Implement security controls, including LDAP, Kerberos, and TLS, to meet regulatory standards.
• Manage storage, backup, resiliency, availability, and disaster‑recovery processes.
• Automate routine tasks through scripting to improve efficiency.
• Maintain network infrastructure, monitoring, and logging systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align the platform with business objectives.
• Research and evaluate new technologies to enhance scalability and performance.
• Create and keep up‑to‑date documentation for installation, upgrades, design, and operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience administering Hadoop/Cloudera environments.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and data‑pipeline issues.

Required skills

• Cloudera Manager, CDH, CDP.
• Hadoop ecosystem tools.
• Linux system administration.
• Shell scripting (Bash, etc.).
• Monitoring and logging tools such as Ambari, Nagios, Splunk.
• Security protocols and integrations: LDAP, Kerberos, TLS.
