Commercial Director – Construction & Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for a strategic Commercial Director to drive business development, tendering and commercial strategy across large-scale construction and landscape projects in Saudi Arabia. The role will shape the company’s growth pipeline, lead bid preparation and ensure commercial excellence throughout project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and pursue new project opportunities to generate business growth.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, government entities and key industry stakeholders.
• Conduct market analysis, forecast trends and define competitive advantages.
• Lead the preparation, review and submission of tenders, including pricing, value engineering and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with engineering, planning, procurement and finance teams to produce accurate, competitive proposals.
• Create and implement commercial frameworks, policies and systems that support sustainable profitability.
• Negotiate contracts, LOIs and final agreements, managing commercial terms and risks.
• Mentor and lead cross-functional teams in business development, tendering and commercial operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Extensive experience in commercial leadership within construction or infrastructure sectors.
• Proven track record in business development, tendering and securing high-value projects.
• Deep understanding of pricing strategies, estimation, contractual frameworks and market dynamics.
• Strong negotiation, communication and client management abilities.
• Strategic mindset with capability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with FIDIC or similar contract standards.
• Professional certifications such as MRICS, RICS or MBA are an advantage.
