Commercial Director – Lead Revenue & Asset Utilization

About the role

The Commercial Director will lead commercial performance, revenue growth and asset utilization across major venues and destination assets, owning the total commercial strategy, forward pipeline and multidisciplinary commercial functions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the commercial strategy, revenue budgets, forecasts and pricing to maximise revenue while protecting long‑term value.
• Build and manage a multi‑year pipeline of events, promoters and commercial partners, leading content attraction and venue‑hire strategies.
• Oversee sponsorship, partnership and naming‑rights acquisition, negotiation and activation.
• Provide strategic oversight for premium hospitality, VIP areas, ticketing and revenue management.
• Manage commercial performance of food, beverage and retail operations, including margins and concessionaire relationships.
• Drive brand awareness, customer segmentation, digital channels and audience‑development to maximise lifetime value.
• Lead commercial mobilisation for new venues, including market positioning and go‑to‑market planning.
• Collaborate with Finance and Operations to ensure commercial commitments are deliverable and safe.
• Build, lead and mentor a high‑performing multidisciplinary commercial team, supporting Saudisation and succession planning.

Required profile

• Significant commercial leadership experience (e.g., Commercial Director, Sales Director, CCO) in major venues, live entertainment, sports, hospitality or consumer‑facing environments.
• Proven accountability for substantial revenue targets and commercial budgets.
• Strong deal‑structuring, negotiation and financial acumen (revenue, margin, yield, profitability).
• Demonstrated ability to build and convert high‑value sales pipelines.
• Experience in venue mobilisation, launch or major business growth is highly advantageous.
• International and regional (Saudi Arabia/GCC) operating experience preferred.
