Commis I / II Chef – Hospitality Kitchen Role

About the role

Join Sihamco’s culinary team as a Commis I or Commis II and develop your cooking craft in a fast‑paced, premium dining environment. You will support the back‑of‑house team with food preparation, mise en place and daily kitchen operations while learning from experienced chefs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and mise en place according to recipes and chef instructions.
• Assist in cooking menu items, ensuring consistency, quality and brand presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization and hygiene of the assigned kitchen section, following HACCP requirements.
• Manage stock using FIFO principles, receive deliveries and minimise waste.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any faults.
• Collaborate with chefs and colleagues to deliver smooth service and support opening, closing and deep‑cleaning duties.

Required profile

• For Commis II: minimum 2 years experience in a hotel, fine‑dining or upscale casual restaurant.
• For Commis I: minimum 3 years experience, including at least 1 year as a Commis II.
• Fluent English communication and a strong passion for food.
• Relevant culinary qualification or hospitality certification is preferred.
