Commissioning Engineer

About the role

Decima International seeks an experienced Commissioning Engineer to lead commissioning, Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and operational readiness for a large‑scale data centre project in Saudi Arabia. The role is site‑based and requires deep knowledge of mission‑critical electrical, mechanical, ICT and compute systems.

Key responsibilities

• Support commissioning and IST execution across all data‑centre subsystems, ensuring safety and compliance with approved procedures.
• Coordinate testing activities with commissioning managers, contractors, OEMs, MEP and ICT teams, and client representatives.
• Review and validate commissioning plans, method statements, test scripts, risk assessments and schedules.
• Execute and monitor GPU/accelerator burn‑in, thermal‑soak, and compute‑fabric validation tests.
• Document test results, track deficiencies, manage punch‑list items and ensure issues are closed before handover.
• Verify that all commissioning work aligns with drawings, specifications, operational requirements and client standards.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in commissioning, IST execution or data‑centre operations for mission‑critical facilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications or a related engineering discipline.
• Hands‑on experience with integrated testing of power distribution, UPS, generators, cooling systems, BMS, EPMS, fire alarm, ICT and network infrastructure.
• Proven ability to manage safety procedures such as LOTO, Permit‑to‑Work and energized testing.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
