Construction Director – Major Infrastructure Project

About the role

The Project – Construction Director will lead the construction oversight for a major mixed‑use infrastructure programme in Riyadh, reporting to the Programme Director. The role covers pre‑ and post‑contract award activities, ensuring delivery aligns with schedule, cost and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate with PMCs to develop and govern standard reporting formats for quality, commercial, planning, safety and risk.
• Validate progress at pre‑ and post‑contract stage gates and earned progress against baseline schedules.
• Review and approve project cost reports, annual programme budgets and monthly cash‑flow statements.
• Participate in value‑engineering proposals and identify scope risks that could affect growth.
• Support portfolio‑wide risk management, stakeholder engagement and approvals register maintenance.
• Coordinate operational readiness, asset transfer and defects liability with clients and PMCs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or architecture.
• Minimum 15 years of experience managing large civil and infrastructure programmes.
• At least 3 years in a Project Director or Construction Director position.
• Professional certifications such as PMI‑PMP, Professional Engineer or membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, environment and quality standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using enterprise reporting platforms for project controls and cost reporting.
