Construction Director – Public Realm Project

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Construction Director to lead the Diriyah Boulevard & Public Realm Project, a landmark development comprising parks, streetscapes and open‑space infrastructure. The role provides strategic direction to site teams, ensuring safe, on‑time and high‑quality delivery of this large‑scale urban environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all construction activities for the Diriyah Boulevard & Public Realm Project, overseeing site teams and supervision staff.
• Ensure works are executed safely, within schedule and budget, and meet required quality standards.
• Coordinate with client, stakeholders, consultants and contractors to resolve technical and construction issues.
• Review and approve construction plans, method statements and work programmes.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain full compliance with health, safety and environmental policies.
• Oversee contract administration in collaboration with commercial and contracts teams.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports and key metrics to senior management and the client.
• Support change management, claims mitigation and dispute resolution.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative, high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• 15–20 years of construction management experience, including 5–7 years in a senior leadership role such as Construction Director or Project Director.
• Proven delivery of large‑scale infrastructure, public‑realm or mixed‑use projects, preferably in the Middle East.
• Extensive experience managing complex, multi‑stakeholder projects with significant streetscape and landscaping components.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing and best practices.
• Deep understanding of contract conditions (e.g., FIDIC) and commercial implications.
• High commitment to HSE standards and quality assurance processes.
