Construction Engineer - Dewatering

About the role

Parsons is looking for a highly skilled Construction Engineer specializing in dewatering to lead groundwater control for a large‑scale giga‑project in the Tabuk region. You will ensure that deep excavations, foundations and infrastructure are executed in safe, dry and stable conditions while complying with strict environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee installation, operation and maintenance of comprehensive dewatering systems, including deep wells, wellpoints, eductor systems and sump pumping across major excavation zones.
• Review contractor submittals such as hydrogeological calculations, dewatering designs, monitoring plans and settlement risk assessments.
• Monitor groundwater drawdown, discharge water quality and flow rates to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to ground movement, settlement of adjacent structures or base heave, applying corrective or recharging measures as needed.
• Conduct daily site inspections to verify contractor adherence to specifications, schedules, QA/QC standards and HSE protocols.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, daily logs and data analyses for the Construction Manager and client leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Hydrogeology or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive civil construction experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to large‑scale dewatering and groundwater control.
• Proven track record on major infrastructure, deep basements, marine structures or mega‑projects valued at $1 B+.
• Strong understanding of soil mechanics, hydrogeology and pumping equipment.
