Construction Manager Baggage Handling Systems (BHS)

About the role

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Construction Manager – Baggage Handling Systems to join our team. In this role you will manage and coordinate the construction, installation, integration, testing, commissioning and delivery of BHS works within the terminal building, ensuring compliance with operational, safety, security and performance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee construction and installation of baggage handling systems and associated infrastructure.
• Coordinate integration between BHS suppliers, terminal contractors, ICT teams, and airport operators.
• Manage installation sequencing, logistics, and testing activities.
• Review technical submittals, shop drawings, and interface documentation.
• Ensure compliance with airport security requirements and operational standards.
• Support integrated systems testing, commissioning, and ORAT activities.
• Monitor contractor performance, quality, and safety compliance.
• Resolve interface and technical coordination issues proactively.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, controls/automation engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience managing BHS systems for major airport projects.
• Strong understanding of automated baggage systems, controls integration, and airport operations.
• Experience in design‑build, EPC or modular aviation projects.
• Proven coordination and systems integration experience.
