Construction Manager – Baggage Handling Systems

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the delivery of Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) within an airport terminal. The role covers construction, installation, integration, testing, commissioning and final hand‑over, ensuring all systems meet operational, safety, security and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee construction and installation of baggage handling systems and related infrastructure.
• Coordinate integration between BHS suppliers, terminal contractors, ICT teams and airport operators.
• Manage installation sequencing, logistics and testing activities.
• Review technical submittals, shop drawings and interface documentation.
• Ensure compliance with airport security requirements and operational standards.
• Support integrated systems testing, commissioning and ORAT activities.
• Monitor contractor performance, quality and safety compliance.
• Resolve interface and technical coordination issues proactively.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, controls/automation or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience managing BHS projects for major airports.
• Strong understanding of automated baggage systems, controls integration and airport operations.
• Experience delivering Design‑and‑Build, EPC or modular aviation projects.
