Construction Manager

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Construction Manager to lead on‑site construction activities for the Expo 2030 Riyadh infrastructure program. Reporting to the Senior Construction Manager, you will oversee contractors, ensure compliance with safety, quality and schedule requirements, and drive successful project delivery in a fast‑paced, large‑scale environment.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and monitor all contractor work to ensure adherence to project safety, quality plans, schedules and budgets.
• Lead ES&H implementation, conduct joint safety inspections and ensure compliance with local regulatory codes.
• Coordinate with the Management Team and client on contracting strategy, bid evaluation and negotiations.
• Manage construction schedules, resource charts, material deliveries and contractor submittals to maintain continuous work front availability.
• Review and approve contractor method statements, risk assessments and weekly progress reports.
• Mentor and motivate field staff, conduct performance evaluations and promote a collaborative project culture.

Required profile

• Recognized engineering degree or equivalent construction management qualifications.
• 17–20 years of experience delivering large‑scale construction projects, preferably in the KSA, Middle East or GCC.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and make professional judgments.

Required skills

• Construction management of large‑scale civil and infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of IFC drawings, standards, codes and project specifications.
