Consultant for Gavi 6.0 Holistic Application (2026‑2030) – Solomon Islands

About the role

The International Consultant will lead the development of a high‑quality, evidence‑based Gavi 6.0 holistic application for the 2026‑2030 period in the Solomon Islands. Working remotely with travel, the consultant will act as the lead technical advisor, guiding the Full Portfolio Planning process and ensuring alignment with Gavi requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall technical leadership for the Gavi 6.0 Full Portfolio Planning process.
• Lead all analytical, strategic, and writing components of the application.
• Coordinate with the Ministry of Health, UNICEF, WHO, and Gavi partners.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and ensure data‑driven, context‑specific recommendations.
• Guide a national consultant and oversee in‑country technical support.
• Ensure the final application meets Gavi’s evidence‑based and equity‑focused standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Gavi applications, immunisation programmes, or health‑systems strengthening.
• Strong analytical, strategic planning and report‑writing abilities.
• Experience working with ministries, UN agencies and international donors.
• Ability to work remotely and travel to the Solomon Islands as needed.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Gavi 6.0 application process.
• Vaccine Portfolio Optimisation (VPOP) and cash prioritisation methods.
• Data analysis for health‑financing and immunisation coverage.
• Strategic planning and stakeholder facilitation.
• High‑level report writing and documentation.
