Cost Accountant

About the role

The Cost Accountant will handle manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation and cost analysis for alfanar’s electrical production facilities. The role ensures accurate financial reporting and supports effective cost control across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Record, review and validate cost transactions for materials, labor, overheads, scrap and rework, and support product costing activities such as standard cost maintenance and BOM costing.
• Analyse production variances (material, labor, overhead) and prepare variance reports by product, line and cost centre.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing by validating production order settlements, inventory movements and preparing supporting schedules.
• Maintain inventory valuation, perform material consumption analysis and assist with cycle counts and stock adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with costing policies, internal controls and audit requirements, documenting cost calculations and identifying control gaps.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience or recent graduate (fresher) in cost accounting or manufacturing finance.
• Ability to follow approved costing policies, internal controls and SOPs.
• Strong analytical mindset to investigate variances and support process improvements.
