Cost Accountant – Product Costing & Analysis

About the role

We are looking for a Cost Accountant to prepare and maintain product and service cost sheets, calculate material, labor, and overhead costs, and ensure accurate costing data across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update product/service cost sheets regularly.
• Calculate material, labor, overhead, and total production costs accurately.
• Monitor actual costs against standard or budgeted costs and identify variances.
• Analyze cost variances, providing explanations and recommendations to management.
• Maintain records of inventory, raw materials, work‑in‑process, and finished goods.
• Support inventory valuation and reconcile physical and accounting records.
• Prepare periodic cost and management reports highlighting cost trends.
• Assist in product pricing and profitability analysis.
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Store, and Finance teams to ensure accurate cost data.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and audit requirements related to costing and inventory.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of experience in cost accounting or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
