About the role
The Cost Control Engineer will monitor project expenses, compare budgets with actual spending, and oversee cost management during major product or process changes. The role involves generating analytical reports that support managerial decisions and ensuring financial discipline throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Continuously monitor actual costs and perform month‑end close activities.
- Prepare detailed project budget plans and ensure timely submission by department managers.
- Analyze financial information (revenues, expenditures, cash flow) to keep operations within budget.
- Coordinate with project cost controllers, project managers and directors on forecasting and cost allocation.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in expenditures to avoid budget overruns.
- Maintain cost‑center allocation methodology and produce regular performance reports.
- Participate in process simplification and standardisation initiatives.
Required profile
- At least 96 months (8 years) of experience in cost control or financial analysis within construction projects.
- Strong problem‑solving, detail‑orientation and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to define performance goals and manage personal development.
