Cost Control Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Cost Control Engineer to join our team on Saudi Aramco‑approved and other high‑profile projects. The role focuses on monitoring and controlling project costs, providing accurate forecasts and cost‑performance data to support project management decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain project cost‑control structures.
• Monitor budgets, commitments, actual expenditures and forecast future costs.
• Track purchase orders, sub‑contracts, manpower, equipment and other project costs.
• Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts.
• Analyze budget variances and identify potential overruns.
• Maintain cost‑to‑complete and Estimate at Completion (EAC) figures.
• Coordinate cost information with procurement, finance, planning and project management teams.
• Support change‑order and variation cost assessments.
• Assist with cash‑flow and financial forecasting for the project.
• Provide management with reliable cost‑performance indicators.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project cost control, preferably in EPC or construction environments.
• Strong understanding of construction, infrastructure or oil & gas project dynamics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Commitment to safety, quality, cost and schedule objectives.
• Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or familiarity with Saudi Aramco, SABIC, SEC or similar clients is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for cost analysis and reporting.
• Experience with ERP or project‑control systems.
