About the role
The Cost Estimator will join Jobs for Humanity’s exhibition and event production team, preparing accurate bills of quantities and cost breakdowns for projects.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze concepts, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate BOQs and cost breakdowns.
- Source and compare vendor/subcontractor quotes for materials, AV, rigging, graphics, and more.
- Calculate labor, machine time, and overheads using standard benchmarks.
- Support tender submissions and coordinate with design, production, and procurement teams.
- Manage commercial handovers and price variations/change orders.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 4–8+ years of experience in estimating for exhibitions, scenic fabrication, or fit‑out projects.
- Strong technical understanding of materials and build methods.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Excel/Sheets.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/SketchUp.
- Proficiency in ERP estimating tools.
