Country QHSSE Manager - Saudi National

About the role

Egis, an international engineering, consulting and construction firm operating in 100 countries, is looking for an experienced Country QHSSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment) Manager based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will develop, implement and oversee QHSSE programmes across the country's operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement QHSSE strategies, policies and procedures aligned with company goals and local regulations
• Lead and manage the country's QHSSE team, including guidance, mentorship and performance management
• Carry out regular risk assessments and implement mitigation measures
• Oversee incident investigations, audits, root cause analyses and corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with Saudi QHSSE regulations and international standards through audits
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and run regular drills
• Integrate QHSSE into business decisions with senior management and report performance to leadership
• Promote a strong safety culture through training, communication and leadership, and travel to work sites as needed
• Work closely with the Regional HSS and Regional QA managers

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent
• At least 10 years of experience in QHSSE roles, with a proven track record of implementing and managing QHSSE programmes
• Experience in construction, energy, transportation or a related field
• In-depth knowledge of Saudi QHSSE regulations and standards, and of international standards such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001
• Relevant professional certifications such as CSP, NEBOSH or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor
• Strong leadership, project management and communication skills
