Cyber Security Consultant – OT/ICS Specialist

About the role

The Cyber Security Consultant will design and deliver cybersecurity solutions for public and industrial clients, focusing on Operational Technology (OT) environments in the oil, gas, energy and utilities sectors. The role blends deep technical expertise in OT/ICS with strong project management to ensure secure, compliant implementations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop proposals and detailed designs for secure OT network architectures, including segmentation between IT and OT domains.
• Lead implementation of OT IDS/IPS controls and rugged firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Dragos, Nozomi) across client sites.
• Prepare system, logical, and functional design specifications, bill of materials, and test procedures (FAT, SAT, method statements).
• Conduct risk assessments, compliance checks against standards such as ISA/IEC 62443, NIST SP 800‑82, NERC CIP, and IEC 61511.
• Collaborate with client OT cybersecurity teams, recommend security enhancements, and provide training to OT engineers.
• Design and configure network switches (L2/L3), ACLs, and ensure hardening of devices.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of hands‑on cybersecurity experience, preferably in OT/ICS environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and professional certifications (ISA/IEC 62443, CISM, CCSP, Dragos, Nozomi, Fortinet NSE4, Palo Alto PNSE).
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and maintain strong customer relationships.

Required skills

• OT security, network segmentation, OT IDS/IPS controls.
• Risk assessment, Veeam Backup & Replication, Veritas Net Backup, Acronis.
• Familiarity with ISA/IEC 62443, NIST SP 800‑82, NERC CIP, IEC 61511.
• Hands‑on experience with Fortinet, Palo Alto, Dragos, Nozomi firewalls.
• Configuration of L2/L3 switches, ACL management, Cisco devices.
• Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), What’s Up Gold, NMS configuration.
• MacAfee Antivirus, EPO, data‑loss‑prevention solutions.
• Design of VM HA clusters and VM architecture.
