Data Analytics Intern (Remote)

About the role

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN‑Habitat) is seeking a full‑time remote Data Analytics Intern to support the Global Quality of Life Index project. The internship lasts four months with a possible extension and is open to candidates in GMT+0 to GMT+6 time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in continued data collection for participating cities during the interim phase of the project.
• Support technical and advisory services for the design, development, and promotion of the Global Quality of Life Index.
• Help enhance the capacity of governments and development partners to use and report on urban quality‑of‑life trends.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports and documentation for the Quality of Life Programme.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recent graduate of a relevant degree program (e.g., statistics, urban studies, data science).
• Based within GMT+0 to GMT+6 time zones; applicants from Africa, Europe, and the Middle East are encouraged.
• Strong interest in urban development, sustainability, and quality‑of‑life metrics.
