Data Architect – Riyadh

About the role

The Data Architect will lead the design and governance of Alfanar’s enterprise data architecture, ensuring data is structured, integrated, secure and of high quality to support business operations, analytics and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain the enterprise data architecture, creating conceptual, logical and physical data models that meet business and technical requirements.
• Define and oversee data integration solutions, including ETL/ELT processes, to ensure reliable data flow across multiple systems.
• Establish data quality standards, governance frameworks, metadata management and data lineage tracking.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and privacy teams to implement data classification, access controls and compliance with regulations such as PDPL and GDPR.
• Evaluate and recommend data architecture tools and platforms, supporting both relational and non‑relational databases and optimizing performance, scalability and reliability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• 6–10 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, integration and governance.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and deliver data solutions on schedule.
