About the role
Masterworks is looking for a Data Governance Consultant to strengthen our data management practices and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. You will design and implement governance frameworks that drive data quality, security, and lifecycle management across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data risks and define remediation strategies.
- Conduct data quality assessments, audits, and provide actionable improvement recommendations.
- Educate and train teams on data governance principles to foster a data‑driven culture.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of governance initiatives.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance or data management.
- Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks and regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex data concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Highly analytical with strong problem‑solving abilities.
