Data Governance Specialist

About the role

Eram Talent is looking for a dedicated Data Governance Specialist to join its team in Al Khobar. The role ensures high standards of data quality, integrity and compliance with regulations, by developing, implementing and managing data governance frameworks and policies. It works with various teams to build a culture of data stewardship and supports data quality initiatives and risk assessment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the data governance and data quality strategy using industry best practices.
• Define, deploy and communicate data quality policies, procedures and guidelines to all business units.
• Manage the personal data protection agenda and monitor compliance.
• Monitor the data quality situation, identify gaps and root causes and resolve them.
• Run data quality business cases and measure variances between actual and target outcomes.
• Develop terms of reference for data quality programs and launch new ones across units.
• Set up controls and procedures for data management information in line with organizational frameworks.
• Carry out data quality projects from start to finish, including performance tracking and communication.
• Improve data quality processes, tools and methodologies continuously.
• Incorporate feedback from external technology auditors into controls and stay updated on KSA data protection laws.
• Use enhanced cybersecurity measures to protect data against theft, breaches or loss.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent from a recognized university.
• 7+ years in a data governance role.
• Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) preferred.
• Experience in IT, data solutions, networking or cybersecurity preferred.
• Proven experience in data assessments and audits.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team.

• Familiarity with data quality management, data privacy regulations and compliance standards.
