Data Protection and Privacy Senior Specialist

About the role

The Data Protection and Privacy Senior Specialist will lead ZATCA’s efforts to safeguard sensitive data, ensuring compliance with national standards and international best practices. Working with minimal supervision, you will design, implement, and monitor privacy initiatives across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Review and update ZATCA’s data guides to align with NDMO‑approved standards and policies.
• Conduct assessments to identify data management needs, challenges, and improvement areas.
• Assist in developing privacy policies, standards, and procedures based on best practices and international regulations.
• Propose and implement improvement plans, KPIs, and risk‑mitigation actions to protect sensitive information.
• Communicate data policies and strategies to stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and engagement.
• Develop and deliver awareness programs on data privacy requirements.
• Monitor implementation of privacy initiatives, resolve data issues, and coordinate remedial actions with IT and other functions.
• Prepare compliance reports for senior management and external auditors.

Required profile

• Proven ability to operate independently within defined guidelines.
• Experience preparing complex, specialized reports and meeting operational milestones.
• Strong analytical skills to assess data privacy risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Effective communicator capable of engaging cross‑functional teams.
