Data Protection and Privacy Senior Specialist

About the role

The Data Protection and Privacy Senior Specialist will lead the development and implementation of data privacy policies and initiatives for ZATCA, ensuring compliance with national standards and safeguarding sensitive information.

Key responsibilities

• Review and update ZATCA data guides to align with NDMO standards and policies.
• Conduct assessments to identify data management needs, challenges, and improvement areas.
• Assist in creating data privacy policies, standards, and procedures based on best practices and international standards.
• Develop and monitor KPIs, risk assessments, and control measures to protect sensitive data.
• Prepare and deliver awareness programs on data privacy requirements.
• Manage implementation of privacy plans, coordinate remedial actions with IT, and report compliance levels.
• Support junior staff, resolve escalated issues, and ensure consistent adherence to processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in data privacy, protection, or compliance.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate across functions.
