Data Scientist – AI Community Expert

About the role

As a Data Scientist Expert in TELUS Digital’s AI Community, you will safeguard data quality and drive the evaluation of large language models. Working remotely, you will collaborate with a global network of contributors to uncover biases, improve model performance, and shape AI products used by millions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and run evaluation frameworks to measure model accuracy, helpfulness, and safety on massive datasets.
• Perform advanced data‑wrangling to convert raw text into optimized training sets for LLMs.
• Detect, visualize, and report complex trends in model failures, providing actionable insights for next‑phase training.
• Develop automated scripts that monitor the consistency of human‑annotated data to maintain TELUS Digital’s quality standards.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related technical field.
• English proficiency at least B1 level and native‑level fluency in at least one other language.
• Basic proficiency in data manipulation tools such as Python, SQL, or Excel.
• Willingness to complete a subject‑specific qualification exam and ID verification.
