Demi Chef – Hotel Kitchen Team

About the role

Join the culinary team of a leading international hotel brand and support the daily operation of the hot kitchen. As a Demi Chef you will work closely with the Chef de Partie to deliver high‑quality dishes that meet the brand’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items following standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Assist the Chef de Partie in managing the hot kitchen during service.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and food‑safety compliance in line with HACCP requirements.
• Monitor food quality, portion control and waste, and ensure proper FIFO stock rotation.
• Support buffet, à la carte, banquet and catering preparations as needed.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance issues.
• Help receive and inspect food deliveries when required.

Required profile

• 3–4 years of experience as a Demi Chef or Commis Chef in a hotel, resort or international cuisine environment.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced kitchen.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
• Proficiency in kitchen equipment operation.
• Understanding of FIFO stock management.
