Demi Chef – Turkish Cuisine

About the role

Join the Sofitel Shahd Al Madinah team, a 5‑star retreat located steps from Al Masjid Al Nabawi. As a Demi Chef specializing in Turkish cuisine, you will create authentic dishes that blend local traditions with French hospitality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook Turkish dishes following hotel recipes and quality standards.
• Assist the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned kitchen section.
• Monitor stock levels, support inventory control and proper food storage.
• Help minimise food waste and control costs.
• Follow all health, safety and HACCP procedures.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service teams and train junior staff when required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in Turkish cuisine within hotels or restaurants.
• Good knowledge of authentic Turkish cooking techniques, ingredients and presentation.
• Fluent English; Turkish language is highly preferred.
• Culinary certification or relevant hospitality qualification is an advantage.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced kitchen.
• Strong teamwork, time‑management and flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
