Design Engineer – Valve & Actuation

About the role

The Design Engineer will join the Isolation Valves business unit of Emerson Al‑Arabia, supporting engineering activities for valve and actuation projects across Saudi Arabia. You will own the end‑to‑end order engineering process, collaborating with global engineering, manufacturing, sales and operations teams to deliver compliant, high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for customer orders, including design, modification and documentation of valve and actuation solutions.
• Create and maintain 3D models, integrated drawings, bills of materials and technical documents using a 3D CAD environment.
• Interpret customer specifications, datasheets and international codes to ensure compliant designs.
• Define automation and actuation philosophies for valve applications based on project requirements.
• Support sales, quotation and order management teams with technical queries throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain and service teams to support production, procurement and field activities.
• Prepare customer drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics and internal manufacturing documentation.
• Review and approve internal and supplier drawings, recommending improvements for quality, efficiency and cost.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation, revisions and change notices in line with quality systems.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in product or order engineering within the valve, actuation or industrial automation domain.
• Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English in a professional engineering environment.
