Design Manager

About the role

The PMC Design Manager will be based in AlUla, Saudi Arabia, supporting senior project managers in overseeing Lead Design Consultants across multiple development projects (RIBA Stages 1‑4). The role demands systematic, efficient work and strong communication and reporting abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Produce scope of works for tender documentation, aligning with client frameworks and project briefs.
• Oversee Lead Design Consultant activities, coordinate designs, monitor progress, and manage client and statutory approvals.
• Manage design review processes, audit compliance with briefs, risk and value analyses, and compile stage gateway reports.
• Control change management, evaluate design changes, and assess impacts on time, cost, and quality.
• Assist in cost management, value engineering, and design coordination to meet budget and schedule targets.
• Facilitate design workshops, progress meetings, and ensure completeness of RFP scopes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering or related field; PMP certification is advantageous.
• Minimum 7 years of design management experience in hospitality, education, cultural or mixed‑use projects, including at least 3 years in PMC/PGMC managerial roles.
