Design Project Manager - Museum Exhibitions

About the role

ACCIONA is hiring a Design Project Manager in Riyadh for architectural design projects, with particular focus on museography and exhibition projects. The role leads the architectural design scope from initial concept through final construction documentation, managing the design team, quality, client communication and regulatory approvals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the internal architectural, exhibition and content project team, and set the design workflow with milestones for Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Documents up to IFT/IFC packages.
• Coordinate directly with specialized design consultants such as interior design, landscape architecture, lighting, MEP, structural and sustainability/LEED.
• Serve as the main point of contact for the client, prepare and lead design presentations and workshops, and turn client aspirations into design briefs and strategies.
• Maintain design integrity from concept to construction drawings, oversee spatial coordination, building envelope details, zoning compliance and building code reviews (ADA, life safety, fire codes).
• Manage subcontracts with support from the company's structural, legal and finance departments, and lead the project from legal, commercial, cost and resourcing perspectives.
• Develop and maintain the design schedule, track deliverables against milestones, and monitor team staffing, workload and fee usage.
• During construction, review and approve submittals and shop drawings, respond to RFIs, adapt designs to execution feasibility, and conduct periodic site visits.

Required profile

• 15 years of experience.
• Experience designing, developing and implementing museography and exhibition projects.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or a related engineering field from an accredited university.
• Fluent English (minimum C1 level).

Required skills

• Team leadership in multidisciplinary teams and supplier management.
• Strong aesthetic sense, space planning and knowledge of building systems, materials and detailing.
• Project coordination and reporting, including subcontractor interfaces and site supervision teams.
• Working knowledge of local specifications, codes and regulations.
