Digital Budget Manager – Finance & IT

About the role

The Digital Budget Manager will lead the planning, monitoring and optimisation of budgets for digital initiatives across the organisation. You will work closely with finance, procurement and digital teams to ensure financial discipline while supporting growth and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual and multi‑year budget planning for digital departments and projects.
• Establish baselines, track approved, committed, actual and forecasted spend.
• Monitor IT project and digital product budgets against delivery milestones.
• Analyse variances, recommend corrective actions and manage budget changes, transfers and reallocations.
• Develop financial models, forecasts, scenarios and dashboards using Excel.
• Conduct market research, benchmarking and pricing analysis.
• Identify cost‑saving and optimisation opportunities across licences, cloud, infrastructure, services and contracts.
• Review project cost estimates and assess financial feasibility of new initiatives.
• Coordinate reporting with Finance, Procurement, Contracts and Digital teams.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, MIS, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in budget management, financial planning or portfolio/project management, preferably in IT/Digital environments.
• Strong analytical, detail‑oriented mindset and ability to challenge costs.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and executive reporting skills.
• Professional certifications in Finance, Project Management or IT are a plus.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power Pivot).
• Financial modelling and forecasting.

• Cloud development operations and licensing cost analysis.
