Director of Food & Beverage – Luxury Hospitality

About the role

The Director of Food & Beverage will lead the overall F&B strategy and operations for Sofitel Jabal Omar Makkah, a luxury hotel in the heart of Makkah. Reporting to senior hotel management, the role ensures exceptional culinary experiences, luxury service standards and sustainable commercial performance across all outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the annual Food & Beverage strategy aligned with hotel objectives, brand standards and financial goals.
• Lead all F&B operations, including restaurants, lounges, in‑room dining, banqueting, catering, stewarding and culinary services.
• Maintain each outlet as a profitable business while delivering consistent luxury service.
• Drive operational efficiency, service delivery and guest satisfaction, especially during peak periods such as Ramadan, Hajj and Umrah.
• Introduce innovative dining concepts, promotions and experiences to strengthen market position.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences, monitor satisfaction and online reviews, and implement continuous improvement.
• Engage personally with VIP guests, owners, dignitaries and key stakeholders.
• Develop commercial initiatives to maximize revenue across all F&B outlets.

Required profile

• Proven leadership of overall Food & Beverage strategy and operations in a luxury hotel environment.
• Ability to collaborate with Executive Chef, Commercial, Finance, Operations and Talent & Culture teams.
• Strong focus on delivering luxury service standards and guest satisfaction.
• Experience managing high‑demand periods such as religious seasons.
