Director of Operations – Hotel

About the role

Functions as the strategic business leader of the property's Hotel Operations, overseeing Front Office, Recreation/Health Club, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Engineering. The role works with department heads to develop and implement strategies that align with the brand’s service standards and financial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage profitability by analyzing guest satisfaction drivers, service issues, and making decisions to achieve brand goals.
• Monitor revenue performance against budget, coach teams on occupancy, rates, wages and controllable expenses.
• Lead operations and department teams to deliver the brand’s service vision and ensure alignment across leadership.
• Oversee the guest experience, review feedback, address complaints, and maintain high service standards.
• Conduct human‑resources activities, including performance reviews, employee communication, policy administration, and fostering a culture of excellence.

Required profile

• 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management or related field with at least 4 years relevant experience, OR a 4‑year bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years experience.
• Proven experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales & marketing, or management operations within a hotel environment.
