Director of Operations - Saudi Arabia AOC (GACA)

About the role

Beond, the world's first premium leisure airline flying an all-lie-flat Airbus fleet, is establishing new Air Operator Certificates in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. It is seeking a Director of Operations for its Saudi Arabia AOC (GACA), based in Riyadh. The Director is appointed by and reports to the Accountable Executive.

Key responsibilities

• Exercise operational control and accountability for flight operations under the AOC.
• Own the operations manual, ensure compliance with operations specifications and set operational standards.
• Oversee flight dispatch, flight-time limitations and flight-crew standards.
• Serve as the operational interface with GACA for approvals, audits and findings.
• Embed the Safety Management System (SMS) within operations.

Required profile

• Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
• At least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in the last 6 years exercising operational control over Part 121-similar operations.
• At least 3 years of experience in the last 6 years as pilot-in-command of a Part 121 aircraft (required for a first-time Director of Operations).
• Full understanding of the GACAR, operations specifications, airworthiness requirements and the operations manual, and acceptance by GACA.

Required skills

• Fluent English; Arabic is advantageous.
• Desirable: Airbus A320/A321 experience, existing GACA regulatory relationships and new-AOC experience.
