Director - Waste Management

About the role

The Director – Waste Management will lead the strategic asset management of the city’s integrated waste portfolio, ensuring that waste infrastructure, systems and commercial arrangements are planned, governed and optimised across their full lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Define the long‑term waste management vision, strategy, roadmap and operating model for the city.
• Develop and govern a circular, digitally enabled waste asset management system covering municipal solid waste, recyclables, organics, construction & demolition waste, hazardous and special waste streams.
• Set lifecycle investment standards, CAPEX planning and performance management frameworks.
• Oversee regulatory compliance, risk management and alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 and international best practice.
• Lead service procurement, asset information management, operational readiness assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years of experience in waste management, asset management or related large‑scale infrastructure programmes.
• Proven track record of strategic leadership and governance of complex waste systems.
• Strong understanding of Saudi regulatory requirements and sustainability objectives.
