Document Control Manager – Riyadh

About the role

The Document Control Manager will lead the document control and information management function for DAR Engineering’s large‑scale projects in Saudi Arabia. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures that all project information is created, controlled, shared and archived in line with contractual, client and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement document control strategies, policies, procedures and standards.
• Establish KPIs, monitor performance and report on document workflow efficiency.
• Manage controlled flow of drawings, submittals, RFIs, correspondence, meeting minutes and contractual documents.
• Prepare project‑specific document control plans and oversee project close‑out, as‑built records and long‑term archiving.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, client requirements and Saudi regulations, and support audits.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years progressive experience in document control, records or information management within engineering or construction.
• Proven leadership of document control teams on large, multi‑stakeholder projects.
• Experience working internationally, preferably in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management or related discipline; relevant professional certifications are a plus.

Required skills

• Document Management Systems (DMS) and Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) expertise.
• Metadata definition, document numbering, classification structures and workflow design.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
