About the role
SGS is seeking a Drilling Rig Operator to join its team in Jubail. The role involves conducting soil exploration through borehole drilling using percussion and rotary rigs.
Key responsibilities
- Perform soil exploration by drilling boreholes with appropriate percussion and rotary rigs.
- Collect and identify soil samples on‑site in accordance with BS 5930 standards.
- Maintain accurate worksheets and drillers logs for each project.
- Implement the Quality Management System as required by company procedures.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment by following safety and environmental control measures.
Required profile
- School Certificate or HSSC.
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Drilling Rig Operator in an ISO 17025:2017 accredited laboratory in KSA.
- Valid Saudi Arabian driving licence.
Required skills
- Drilling rig operation (percussion and rotary).
- Soil sampling according to BS 5930.
- Knowledge of ISO 17025:2017 laboratory procedures.
