Drilling Rig Operator – Soil Exploration

About the role
SGS is seeking a Drilling Rig Operator to conduct soil exploration in Jubail. The role involves operating percussion and rotary rigs to create boreholes and collect samples according to BS 5930 standards. The operator will ensure data quality, safety and environmental compliance on site.
Key responsibilities
- Perform soil exploration by drilling boreholes using percussion and rotary rigs.
- Collect and label soil samples on site in accordance with BS 5930.
- Identify soil types through sample identification procedures.
- Implement Quality Management System (QMS) requirements as defined by procedures.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following safety procedures and environmental controls.
- Maintain accurate worksheets and drillers log.
Required profile
- School Certificate / HSSC.
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Drilling Rig Operator in ISO 17025:2017 accredited labs in KSA.
- Valid Saudi Arabia driving license.
