Duty Engineer – Mechanical & HVAC Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Duty Engineer to lead the mechanical and HVAC maintenance of our property. The role combines hands‑on technical work with supervision of a small engineering team to ensure reliable operation and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and control the preventive maintenance schedule for all mechanical and HVAC equipment.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met throughout the property.
• Follow the preventive maintenance chart strictly and keep detailed records for future reference.
• Coordinate with other department counterparts to guarantee quality and timely progress.
• Develop and deliver training programmes for engineering staff and promote multitasking opportunities.
• Allocate work to subordinates according to their capabilities to achieve specified standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience in a similar maintenance role within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong command of English.
• Ability to diagnose faults and rectify subsystems efficiently.
• Self‑motivated, hands‑on, adaptable to unpredictable events, and calm under pressure.
