EHS Team Leader

About the role

The EHS Team Leader will oversee environmental, health and safety activities across projects and operations in Jeddah, ensuring compliance with company policies, client requirements and international standards while fostering a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the EHS team across all projects and operational sites.
• Plan and monitor manpower and EHS resources according to operational needs.
• Provide coaching, competency development and performance monitoring for team members.
• Review weekly and monthly EHS reports and allocate tasks within the department.
• Ensure risk assessments are performed for significant site activities and that mitigation measures are applied.
• Develop, review and maintain EHS procedures for office and site operations.
• Coordinate inspections, meetings and issue resolution with customers, consultants, contractors and site teams.
• Support the Integrated Management System (ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, OHSAS 18001, SEC OHS procedures).
• Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with company and client requirements.
• Promote EHS awareness through trainings, toolbox talks and safety campaigns.
• Assist in preparing SOPs and recommend improvements to existing processes.
• Maintain EHS records, reports and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in EHS, with at least 4 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• NEBOSH certification (required).
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001; Lead Auditor certification is a plus.
• SEC approval is mandatory.
• Saudi nationality is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with EHS reporting systems.
• Understanding of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• NEBOSH certification.
