About the role

The Electrical, Instrumentation & Communication (E&I) Estimation Engineer prepares accurate techno‑commercial estimates for EPC, brownfield, greenfield, maintenance and shutdown projects in Saudi Arabia. The role requires detailed analysis of tender documents, material take‑offs and cost breakdowns to deliver competitive bids.

Key responsibilities

  • Review invitation to bid (ITB), RFQ, RFP, scope of work, specifications, drawings, BOQs and datasheets.
  • Prepare material take‑offs (MTOs), bill of quantities (BOQs) and verify quantities from engineering documents.
  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates covering materials, manpower, equipment, subcontractors, engineering, construction, testing & commissioning, logistics and temporary facilities.
  • Evaluate vendor quotations for technical and commercial compliance and prepare technical proposals, compliance statements and execution methodology.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, planning, QA/QC, vendors and clients to resolve technical and commercial queries during bid preparation.
  • Maintain estimating databases, productivity norms, historical cost records and vendor pricing information.

Required profile

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in E&I cost estimation for EPC projects.
  • Strong understanding of Saudi Aramco, SABIC, SEC, IEC, IEEE, ISA, NEC and NFPA standards.
  • Proven ability to prepare MTOs, BOQs and detailed cost breakdowns.
  • Excellent analytical skills to identify technical risks, assumptions and commercial deviations.
