Electrical Engineer – Facilities Management

About the role

ESOM is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer – Facilities Management to support the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of electrical systems across building and facility environments.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical equipment, circuitry, and power distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain LV and MV switchgear, distribution boards, control systems, and related equipment.
• Support installation, modification, replacement, and commissioning of panels, circuit breakers, lighting systems, and protection devices.
• Maintain and monitor UPS systems, standby generators, and Automatic Transfer Switches to ensure power continuity.
• Review and update electrical drawings, schematics, single‑line diagrams, and technical specifications using AutoCAD.
• Perform load calculations, equipment selection, system assessments, and protection studies.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, contractors, and project teams on maintenance and engineering activities.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and knowledge transfer to field technicians.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, facilities management, or building services.
• Strong practical experience with LV and MV distribution systems, switchgear, UPS, generators, and ATS.
• Ability to work safely at heights, in confined spaces, and in varied indoor/outdoor conditions.
