Electrical Technical Office Engineer

About the role

The Electrical Technical Office Engineer is responsible for preparing and reviewing electrical designs, shop drawings, quantity take‑offs and cost estimates for a variety of projects. The role ensures compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, applicable codes and project requirements while delivering cost‑effective engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review electrical designs, single‑line diagrams, load schedules and detailed execution drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Develop BIM models, perform clash detection and coordinate electrical systems with other disciplines using Navisworks.
• Produce Bill of Quantities, perform quantity take‑offs, and prepare material and technical submittals.
• Support site teams during execution, respond to RFIs, and assist with testing and commissioning activities.
• Identify value‑engineering opportunities and update drawings based on design changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 5–7 years of experience in electrical design and technical office engineering, covering residential, commercial, hotel and multidisciplinary projects.
• Proven ability to prepare detailed execution drawings, BOQ, and cost estimates.
• Strong knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards and ability to interpret technical specifications.
