Electrical Technician

About the role

The Electrical Technician will perform maintenance, repair and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment in an industrial plant. The role ensures reliable operation of machinery, minimizes downtime and supports safe installation of new assets.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, machinery and control panels in accordance with safety standards.
• Carry out preventive maintenance activities, including testing, cleaning and lubrication of equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults promptly to reduce production interruptions.
• Interpret electrical drawings, schematics and specifications for installation and commissioning projects.
• Collaborate with the Electrical Foreman and other technicians to plan and execute installation work.
• Verify compliance with electrical codes, regulations and safety procedures during all activities.
• Calibrate and test instruments such as meters, gauges, protection relays and motor winding analyzers.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology or Electrical Power.
• 1–3 years of experience in plant electrical maintenance.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong attention to detail.

Required skills

• High‑voltage substation testing and commissioning.
• Interpretation of electrical drawings and schematics.
• Operation of electrical testing equipment (e.g., Freja, CPC 100, DLRO, motor winding analyzer).
• Testing and maintenance of transformers, switchgear, motors and starters.
• Protection relay configuration and calibration.
