Electrical Technician – LV/MV Systems & Control Panels

About the role

The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing low‑voltage (LV) and medium‑voltage (MV) electrical systems, low‑current installations and control panels in commercial and industrial facilities, ensuring safe and efficient operation in line with codes and client contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Perform reactive and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on LV/MV systems, low‑current networks and control panels.
• Diagnose and repair faults in FACP panels, BMS, UPS, PAVA, fan motors, pumps, lighting and distribution panels.
• Conduct regular inspections, cleaning and servicing of electrical components.
• Document all work performed, parts used and equipment status in maintenance logs.
• Provide first‑response support for service requests and emergency call‑outs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or ITI/Diploma in Electrical preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an electrician in residential, commercial or industrial settings.
• Valid electrician licence or certification where required.
• Physical fitness to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Required skills

• LV/MV power distribution and control systems.
• Low‑current and building automation systems.
• Electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics and blueprints.
• Maintenance of FACP, BMS, UPS, PAVA, fan motors, pumps and circuit breakers.
