Electronic Technician – Engineering (5‑star Hotel)

About the role

The Engineering Department of Jumeirah Jabal Omar Hotel is seeking an Electronic Technician to install, maintain and repair electronic and AV/VA systems across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electronic equipment, AV/VA systems, control systems and related devices.
• Read and interpret electronic drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Diagnose electronic faults and perform troubleshooting to resolve issues.
• Inspect and test electronic systems, PAVA equipment, sensors, controllers and related components.
• Replace or repair defective components, circuit boards, sensors, relays and wiring.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electronic, AV/VA and PAVA equipment.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury 5‑star property.
• Secondary education required; vocational certification or trade qualification in electronics preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of electronics, PAVA and AV/VA systems.
• Basic computer literacy and understanding of safety and building systems.
• Proficient in English, able to work independently and adapt to diverse environments.
